PHOTO GUIDELINES
All photos MUST be recent, clear, high-resolution, and well-lit, preferably with natural lighting.
Use a plain background—no clutter or other people in the photo.
Get down to the child’s level; do NOT take photos from an angle.
Children must be looking into the camera. Those who are too young to follow directions should be looking in the direction of the camera.
Do not use filters or effects.
Capture a variety of emotions: serious (passport-style headshots), smiling (with and without teeth showing), and laughing.
For babies:
They should be lying down on a white or light grey sheet.
Babies who can sit unaided should be seated in front of a plain white or light-colored wall.
Children should be standing in front of a plain white or light grey wall indoors or a fence/brick wall outdoors.
For babies/toddlers: No food, dummies, toys, snotty noses, or dribbling.
Children should be dressed in simple, presentable clothing—no makeup, hair accessories, or pajamas. Plain T-shirts and jeans are ideal.
Please do NOT crop your images outside of standard photo sizes. The standard industry headshot size is 8x10 inches.
